Our History:
The foundations of the current business started in the 1960s when Ken Elsmore commenced working in the family building business which specialised in residential, churches and aged care projects.
Elsmore Constructions Pty Ltd was incorporated in 1984 and has traded continually since then, successfully establishing itself as a competitive, medium-sized construction company. Many associations with clients, architects, subcontractors and suppliers go back more than 35 years.
The company continued to grow through the 80s, 90s and 2000, with the volume of work steadily increasing in conjunction with the growth of its established clients. The late 90s saw a period of rapid
growth due to a restructuring of the company and the broadening of our client base.
Glen McMurray joined the company in 1987 and in January 2000 became an equal partner and director.
In June 2004 Ken Elsmore retired and Glen McMurray became the sole director and owner. At this time it was decided to start Elsmore Constructions (NSW) Pty Ltd for any ongoing projects.
Our company now has a wider client base, better management resources and the capability to handle multiple projects, ranging from $1 million to $20 million. Our focus is on, but not limited to, the health and aged care sector of the construction industry, including retirement villages, nursing homes and hostels.
Other projects undertaken include churches, education and sporting facilities, commercial, retail, offices, industrial buildings and fire upgrades.
Small Works Maintenance:
Our small works maintenance division specialises in certification compliance.
(e.g. fire upgrades, industry regulated compliance changes and refurbishments).

Elsmore Constructions (NSW) Pty Ltd is committed to the health and safety of its employees, sub-contractors and the public who may be affected by any of our construction work. Our company also recognises that the health and safety of people takes priority at all times. All accidents must be considered as preventable and the responsibility for observing safe working practices lies with everyone. Our Occupational Health and Safety Plans are designed to make our workplaces as safe and hazard free as possible. Project and Site managers will provide leadership and support for their staff, be accountable for performance and implementation of safety practices, monitor regulated accreditation and recognise good safety practices.
